[edit] Neutrality
- I took off the neutrality disclaimer as there is no discussion on the topic and no reason to keep it given the current revisions
- I added information today that was confirmed by calling the site's General Info, Advertising Opportunities Telephone Number (323.253.9819). I spoke with Tasha Joseph (the site's creator and founder) directly to verify all posted content (even that which contradicts her public statements). I would like to propose an article on Ms. Joseph herself as this is important to understanding the motives and administration of the site.
- I added a cleanup tag... lots of incorrectly used wording, terminology (STI ?), and just a general non-encyclopedic feel to the whole article. Basically needs a complete rewrite for tone, language, etc.--Isotope23 19:30, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- Tag returned. To say the writing of this article is one-sided is more than generous. Characterizing Ms. Joseph as "Tasha" is un-polished and meant to add humanizing emphasis to the anti-male stance of the site. The site makes scant mention that ANYONE .. not just women can post, understating the true lack of controls on the site. Also, the wiki fails to mention that the unchecked "membership" can post on a man whether they have dated (meet, etc) or not.
The page BURYS the fact the there is a web page devoted to ending Ms. Joseph's profits derived from defaming unwitting men. The "close friends" reference is spurrious at best. The page minimizes the fact that men are often unaware that their images and personal information are on the web for Shortcut: WP:NPA WP:ATTACK thousands daily to review. The fact that Ms. Joseph thinks it is like a "credit report" is a mockery of that or any other ranking institution that incorporates a modicum of fact checking in their analysis. Slander and Libel, the themes of at least one pending suit, need to be emphasised as many of the cited articles mention: these themes are equally important as the focus and goal of "Tasha."
This page bends the truth in a way that is irresponsible and unfair to the readers of Wikipedia. People who use this resource need to understand that the free-wheeling nature of the site makes it more that a "forum;" it makes it a weapon. Negative articles, and negative portions of the articles cited sbout this site are conspicuously omitted. Conclusive statements are drawn from out of context quotes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.150.184.170 (talk • contribs) November 5, 2006
- Since information in Wikipedia must be verifiable, just find a source that makes those statements (please note, it needs to be a reliable source and not a blog or forum) and its easy to include it. Unfortunately, Wikipedia policies don't allow personal opinions in articles. If you have thoughts about how the current wording could be changed to make it more neutral please do so, but skewing it to the other extreme isn't the way to handle your concerns. See WP:NPOV for some discussion on how to write articles from a neutral and factual point of view. Shell babelfish 01:21, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Sorry about that, thanks for the tip.
Yeah dude, you don't know what a STI is? One of the girls said her boyfriend who has an STI cheated on her, she lied, so I added it to the page so to point out the fact that there can be lies there.

To the guy posting from The Lansburgh in Washington, D.C. using the IP address, 12.150.184.170, you should sign your postings since we know exactly who you are. Just a suggestion. Regarding the news references, you must be talking about the fabricated Miami New Times article, a local Miami rag publication, which does not substantiate any information in its articles. If you notice, the site has been the subject of hundreds of international news and not one publication has printed the nonsense written in the New Times article. What does that tell you?
How many times a day do you go to The Lansburgh to post about this site or it's owner? Everytime you post your venom here Mr. Lansburgh, we will set the record straight. Are you a disgruntled man who's posted on the site? Then log on and defend yourself instead of wasting your time trying to harass the owner of the site. The previous postings you've made on the site are false and amount to harassment. DDHG is not responsible for your relationship behavior or anyone else's on DontDateHimGirl.com. You, 12.150.184.170, are however, responsible for your behavior on this site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.34.173.9 (talk • contribs) 19:33, January 17, 2007
Remarkable. Well, except the "which does not substantiate any information in its articles" part; that's just ironic. Sadly, this is not "your" website ... If you have problems with the miami "rag," i suggest you "log on and defend yourself instead of wasting your time trying to harass" those who disagree with you. While you are at it, I suggest you stop VANDALIZING this site. If you review WP:NPOV you will discover your behaviour is not acceptable. IP searching posters is not in the spirit of Wikipedia; attack the idea, not the person. Moreover, your "we know exactly who you are" statement is a clear threat to whoever dared to edit the article you WROTE ABOUT YOUR OWN WEBSITE. WP:NPA - Attacking person by his/her ip address is not in the spirit of wikipedia and demands additional scutiny.
I respectfully ask the moderators to step in and stop these personal attacks and threats. --RavensFan20008 07:23, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Edits
Why has the article been consistantly edited to provide a biased approach regarding Ms. Joseph and her site? Why have referenced news sources that review the site negatively been removed? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.150.184.170 (talk) 03:18, 17 January 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Lawsuit
Okay...since my comment was magically REMOVED, I'll post it again. Anyone know the outcome of the Todd Hollis lawsuit? Or is it still in the courts?--Claude 20:11, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
The lawsuit against Tasha Joseph and DontDateHimGirl.com was dismissed by a Pennsylvania judge on April 9, 2007. See the following article, http://www.tmcnet.com/usubmit/-lawsuit-dismissed-against-popular-social-networking-site-/2007/04/10/2472321.htm

I'm removing the tag. The article has been cleaned up, there is no POV in the article and it is properly sourced. Also, those involved in this dispute should read WP:COI before editing this article again. This includes tagging the article. Wikipedia is not a battleground and those involved in this dispute should recuse themselves from editing it or contact our OTRS department who will edit the article for you. - "No stranger to giving back, Cunningham has been honored". This to me seems to be more or less biased in favor of Cunningham. Also some of the phrasing of the lawsuit outcome just seems to be subtly favoring DDHG. I mean: a dismissal based on jurisdiction is made into a victory of some kind. One might expect future lawsuits. Also the positive tone about how much "Tasha" seems to care about women to me heavily contrasts with the loose way the site seems to be run as judged from this article. I'm reinstating NPOV.--130.89.166.237 07:32, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

- This comes across as written by DDHG's PR team or something. Definitely not neutral...it's written more in the tone of Oprah than an encyclopedia 203.58.120.11 (talk) 02:49, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
