What is the evidence that this term is of very recent coinage (i.e. never had han tu)? This seems a bit far-fetched. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dong_Bac&diff=prev&oldid=155174479 Badagnani 22:14, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think the burden of proof should be the other way around. Unless evidence could be provided that the region's name was written in a certain way, we should assume the default quoc ngu orthography. Adding Chinese characters willy-nilly without proper sourcing smacks of original research to me. DHN 22:41, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
