[edit] 1980 or 1982?

So when did the downtown Donaldson's switch from the old location to City Center? The article contradicts itself (text says 1980, list of stores says 1982). I find it odd that Donaldson's would have closed the downtown store for 2 years, leaving the old one vacant for no good reason, but I wasn't around back then so I don't have a way to know... --Rehcsif 16:24, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Ok, now I see someone has made the article consistent (1982). But do we have a cite on the fact that the old store closed in 1980, and there was NO downtown store for 2 years? --Rehcsif 14:59, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] City Center

Hi. I think we've finally corrected the article. Donaldson's at City Center was open and I'm told workers were already tearing the old building down when the arson occurred. I had been offered a job at Donaldson's at Southdale in 1984, but personal matters delayed my move to Minneapolis permanently -- and the job at Donaldson's for that matter! Great, thanks for clarifying this. --Rehcsif 17:33, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
