David Letterman popularized a joke in the 1980s about both Don Prudhomme and Paul Prudhomme (a famous cook and restaurateur).

"I just went to the new Prudhomme restaurant."

"Oh, Paul Prudhomme?"

"No, Don Prudhomme. I had the funny-car veal and nitro-burning prawns and puff-pastry."

Wasn't Prudhomme the first to break the "8 second barrier" in drag racing? I recall reading this in a magazine in the 60's but can't find a reference to it now. Nibios 22:48, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
