I saw the movie "Glory Road" and in my opinion it is one of the best out in quite awhile. Thanks to Josh Lucas's portrayal of the hard task master Don Haskins. Luckily we were spared the nausea of having Ben Affleck in the portrayal of Don Haskins a great humanitarian and coach. Though this movie was never hyped on Leno or Letterman as all others are it still did quite well at the box office. Thanks Disney for a great piece of history.

I thought the movie was very good, but it gave a false-dramatic sense of Texas Western and its place in basketball at the time. As previous articles relate, Texas Western was a very good team before 1965-66, played in the post-season the previous three years and Haskins started coaching there in 1961. He had several black players before, including Jim "Bad News" Barnes who was a good NBA player.
