[edit] History

In 1978, the West German branch of Pye Records began a series of albums titled Star Discothek. This budget line was intended to release older material recorded for Pye Records in the 1960's. Many former Pye artists were included in the series, including The Kinks and Donovan.

Donovan's entry in the series consists of his 1965 recordings for Pye. The songs had already seen multiple releases from various companies throughout the world.
