English: The
Piatt Castles, built by brothers Donn and Abram Piatt in the 1860s and '70s, are two grand
chateaux built in a
French Gothic design. The homes are located a mile and a 1 3/4 miles east of the village of
West Liberty in
Logan County. While once serving as family homes, the Piatt Castles are today privately owned and operated by a direct descendant of Abram Piatt and are open to the public for tours.
