Donoor is a small village in the Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, which is located in the backward Telangana region. It is a small gram-panchayat with a population of just around 4000. It is around 8 kilometers from the temple town Dharmapuri. During the peaks of Naxalite movement, this village used to be a hot bed of their activities. It is located just less than 2 kilometers from another tiny village, Beerpur, which is the birth place of the alleged chief of the notorious People's War Group, Mr. Muppala Lakshmana Rao.

[edit] Health care
A small government funded primary care center supervised by a trained health care worker provides health education and first aid services. It does have a few registered medical practitioners (RMP) who does help provide first aid. However it is an health care underserved area, with the nearest physician services available some 8 kilometers away. Lack of proper transportation services makes the availability of timely health care difficult.
The irony is that there are several medical practitioners and very well educated people in India and abroad who can trace back their roots to this tiny village, but none of them have given back anything to this unfortunate village and its people . This village can benefit from the services and contributions of all those who can trace back their roots to this tiny village.
[edit] Education
This village has a government upper primary school, which provides education for around 224 students. There are five secondary grade teachers and one ancillary staff. This picture shows "Pedda Gutta", a hill adjoining the village and holds its forest.
