Donny prater

Donny Prater (b. 1971) is an author, blogger, and Christian men's ministry leader.
Grew up in Ashland, Kentucky and became a Christian at age 11. Graduated from Boyd County High School in 1989 and went on to graduate from the University of Kentucky (1993) with a B.S. in Environmental Geology. After several years in the Environmental and Coal Industries as well as a stint in the 1st Tank Battalion of the Kentucky National Guard, Prater rededicated his life to the God in 2002 and embarked on his calling as a men's ministry leader and writer.
He is an avid blogger and his blog A Man Coming Alive in Christ has a very large reader base. Donny formed Unchained Men's Ministries in 2005 and authored A Warrior Culture: Surrounding Yourself With Dangerous Men of God in 2006. Using his book as a guide, he currently helps Churches build successful men's minstries by focusing on Christ while growing man-to-man relationships.
He is married to Marci (1999) and they reside in Ashland, Kentucky with their sons Will and Rylan. Prater is an avid dog lover and currently keeps a male Golden Retriever named Napoleon.
