[edit] Making the Band 4
In 2007, "Sean "Diddy" Combs" returned with Making the Band 4, this time searching along with Michael Bivins, Bryan-Michael Cox, Slam, Ankh Ra [1] and Laurie Ann Gibson for the next male super group.[2] He was a contestant on the show but was not chosen to be in the band but he was still chosen to be a singer on Bad Boy.
In Making the Band 4, "Sean "Diddy" Combs" let the fans vote for who they wanted in the band. Donnie came in first in the voting ballots and he still did not make the band. After the band was finally made, Donnie's name was not called to be in the band, but he was offered a solo artist contract on the Bad Boy label by Diddy because he showed such persistence throughout the competition. He was the only person from the show to be offered a solo contract with Bad Boy.
