Donnchad mac Cellacháin

Donnchad mac Cellacháin (fl. 961-963) was an Irish chieftain and the son of Cellachan of Cashel who briefly ruled as King of Cashel and Munster from 961 until 963, [1] [2] when he was murdered by his brother. [3] His successor, Mathgamain mac Cennétig, was the first of the Dál gCais dynasty to take the throne of Munster. [4]
