Donna Traynor is a journalist currently working as an anchor on BBC Newsline. Donna regularly works on other broadcasting items and hosts the annual Children in Need. In the TV programme Country Times, she travels over Northern Ireland meeting people who do weird and wonderful things.

Donna received an award nomination from the Royal Television Society in the Best Regional TV Presenter category.

Hosting the Northern ireland Balmoral Show (agricultural show) is also a regular part of her diary. Donna Traynor's introduction to journalism was with RTÉ in Dublin after her studies in Dublin and Lancashire. She joined the BBC in 1989 and as a Radio Ulster newscaster was the first person to break the news of the IRA ceasefire in August 1994.

In 2001 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Belfast Blitz, Donna co-presented a show at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast which relived the stories and music of the time.

Donna is married to broadcaster Ronan Kelly.
