"Donna" is a song written and sung by Ritchie Valens.[1] The song was released in 1958 on Del-Fi Records.[2] The song was later covered by MxPx in 1995, released on the vinyl edition of their EP On the Cover. The song was later released on compact disk in 1998 on the compilation album Let It Happen.
It was written as a tribute to his high school sweetheart, Donna Ludwig, now known as Donna Fox.
Donna was the A side of the influential and much more famous song "La Bamba."
