Donington on Bain

Donington on Bain is a village in the county of Lincolnshire, England within East Lindsey district.
It is situated in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds area of the county. It lies about six miles south-west of the town of Louth and about six miles due north of the town of Horncastle. The Viking Way progresses north-south through the village.
The village sits on the east bank of the River Bain. It is in the Bain valley, and on either side of the valley sits a tower. One is the Belmont mast, the tallest structure in the EU. The other is a WW2 Chain Home radar tower. This is at RAF Stenigot ACE High relay station which was a WW2 Chain Home radar station.
Cadwell Park racetrack is roughly five miles away. The village pub is the Black Horse on Main Road. The parish church is dedicated to St Andrew which is in the Asterby Group of churches, based in the village. There is a primary school.
