Dongguk University Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 3. As its name indicates, it serves the nearby Dongguk University. In addition, Jangchung Gymnasium, an indoor sports arena most famous for hosting ssireum (Korean wrestling) matches on holidays, is outside Exit 5. It is also the closest station to Shilla Hotel.
This station is located in Jangchung-dong 2-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul, Seoul.

Jangchungdong which is the administrative name of these area is famous for jokbal food. Many shops make group of jokbal shops. Jokbal sells all year around and lots of people come to this place for enjoying meal. Bindaetteok and soju are usually ordered for better taste.

When going out entrance No.6, Janchungdan park comes out. Walking roads are available around whole park. One roller-skating link is also situated at here.

Lots of stolls are near entrance no.2 . They usually serve tteokbokki, mandu, sundae and so on.
