Founded in 1969 by lottery ticket sellers at Belle Vue, home of Doncaster Rovers Football Club, they have also won the FA Women's Cup 6 times and reached the final a further 7 times.
In the 2005/2006 season, they finished fourth in the league.
They are currently managed by former Leeds United and Doncaster Rovers footballer John Buckley. The team takes its 'Belles' moniker from 'Donny's old stadium, Belle Vue.
