Donato Montanaro is Chairman & CEO of online brokerage firm Tradeking, which he co-founded in December 2005. He also helped found online brokerage SureTrade, a subsidiary of Quick & Reilly which was acquired by Fleet Financial Group, now FleetBoston Financial.
TradeKing pioneered the concept of social networking for investors and traders.[1] Montanaro was one of the first financial services CEOs in the United States to write a public blog to investors.
Montanaro is a co-inventor of Fixed Return Options, also known as FROs or binary options, a new investment product launched in May 2008 by the American Stock Exchange. [2] The product was invented by a consortium of financial services executives, led by Montanaro and executives at the Amex.[3][4]
