Fashion photographer Donald McPherson (born 1969 in Miami, Florida) began as an assistant for the likes of Isabella Snyder, Helmut Newton, and Patrick Demarchelier Circa 1989-1992. Later moved to Milan to pursue his career circa 1993. Then moved to Paris where Mr. McPherson met fashion icon Isabella Blow developing a close working relationship. Sharing an apartment in Paris circa 2000 for three years. The two continued to collaborate after Blow's dismissal from the Sunday Times. Also Mr. McPherson photographed the first story for Tatler Magazine with Blow serving as Fashion Director, showcasing the work of Manolo Blahnik. The shoot still the most costly in the magazines history. His great sense of fashion, humor, and a vibrant use of color propelled him up the ranks among the best fashion photographers in Europe. His success quickly landed him in New York where he began contributing to high-end fashion magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, Visionaire, V, New York Times Magazine, GQ, Zoo, Vogue Nippon, Russian Vogue, The Face.

Donald’s high profile clients include Valentino, Lacoste, Barney’s, Max Mara, Paul Smith,Levi's, Hanes, Estee Lauder, Fila, Canon, Sony, Saks Fifth Avenue, Target, Lux and 7-Up.

His images have spurred much interest and have inspired such fashion icons as, Philip Treacy, Stephen Sprouse, Sheikh Majed Al Sabah founder of Villa moda, as well as being the first photographer to shoot a fashion story in the Al Sabah palaces. Additionally, his work has been exhibited entitled When Philip met Isabella at the National museum of Ireland as well 'Design Museum' in London. And the International Center for Photography in New York

Mr. McPherson has worked with numerous celebrities, including David Bowie, Beastie Boys, Gwen Stefani, Ashton Kutcher, Matthew Modine, Grace Jones, Duchess of York, Jason Schwartzman, Adrian Brody, Sophie Dahl, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Tribe Called Quest, Tom Cruise, Carolina Herrera, Fisher Spooner, Chingy, Hanson, Keira Knightley, New Order, Strokes and Steven Sprouse.
