Donald J. Wheeler is an internationally recognized expert on SPC and data analysis. His knowledge, his experience, and his ability to communicate have given him a world-wide following. He has conducted over 1000 seminars in seventeen countries on five continents, and he has had students come from 30 countries to attend his public seminars in the U.S.
He is the author or co-author of 20 books and over 140 articles. He has been a monthly columnist for both Quality Digest and Quality magazines. His books have been translated into five languages and are in use in over 40 countries around the world.
He holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Statistics from Southern Methodist University, and for 12 years he taught at the University of Tennessee, where he was an Associate Professor of Statistics. He was a student and associate of Dr. W. Edwards Deming for 21 years and is one of a handful of individuals to have been elected as Fellow of both the American Statistical Association and the American Society for Quality.
