Donald Featherstone (artist)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Don Featherstone was the artist who crafted the very first Pink Flamingo while working for Union Products.[1] He based his creation on photographs of flamingos from National Geographic (as he wasn't able to requisition real flamingos to use as models).

He was awarded the 1996 Ig Nobel Art Prize for his creation of the Pink Flamingo.

Donald grew up in Berlin, Massachusetts.
