Don Quixote (title character)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Don Quixote is the titular character of the novel of the same name by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. He is portrayed as a well-intentioned but foolishly unrealistic Spanish Hidalgo who believes himself to be a heroic knight-errant. [1] His misguided attempts to bring order and ballance to La Mancha cause more damage than good, and he has gone mad from his excessive reading of medieval tales of chivalrous knights-errant.[1]
