Don Mankiewicz

Don Mankiewicz is a screenwriter. Born in 1922, he is the son of Herman J. Mankiewicz. He was nominated for the 1958 Academy Award for Writing Adapted Screenplay for I Want to Live! Among his many television credits are Ironside, for which he wrote the pilot, and the original Star Trek. His son is screenwriter/producer John Mankiewicz.
