Don Burr

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Donald Burr (born 1941) is a former airline executive and former CEO of now-defunct PEOPLExpress Airlines in the United States.

He was a graduate of Stanford University and received an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School.

Some of speculated that the cause of the PeoplExpress failure was the long absence of a frequent flyer program, overexpansion, including acquisition of Frontier Airlines, ability of other airlines in yield management where they offered low fares, albeit with only a limited number of seats at the low fare but were able to advertise the low fare, and other reasons.
