Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) in Mandaluyong City or simply "Don Bosco Mandaluyong" is a private Catholic educational institution owned and operated by the Salesians of Don Bosco. DB Mandaluyong is declared as the "Motherhouse of all Salesian Works in the Philippines". Its campus is located at 736 General Kalentong Street in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Its Grade School and High School Departments are both all-male institutions while the College Department, which was formerly all-boys also, made history in the school year 2004 by accepting female students for admission.
It is part of the IUS or the Istituzioni Universitarie Salesiane (Salesian University Institutions) and the Don Bosco Educational Apostolate of the Philippines. DBTC was awarded with the ISO 9001:2000 certification (Certificate No. 6720) by Moody International Certification (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and United Kingdom Accreditation Service.

Don Bosco Technical College in Mandaluyong City is an empowered Educative-Pastoral Community that educates and evangelizes the youth to become servant-leaders in the Church of the poor and benchmarks in the field of technology.
We enable the youth, especially the marginalized, to assert gospel and authentic Filipino values in their daily affairs, and contribute to social progress that is based on justice with charity, prosperity with honor, and technology with a soul.
To realize our vision, we journey with the youth in an environment permeated by the Salesian Preventive System, characterized by a culture of excellence and competence, committed to higher and continuous learning, and networking with all the forces that work for the good of the youth.

The Seal is bordered on top by the school's motto: ASCENDE SUPERIUS, which means "Come up to a higher place".
At the center of the Seal is a cross symbolizing the primacy of Christian Catholic education and formation of the institution. The cross rests on a salakot, which is a traditional Filipino hat, to signify the distinct Filipino character ambiance and aspiration of the Salesian mission in the Educative Community.
Between the horizontal section of the cross and the salakot is the founding year of the school, 1953; appearing atop three lines. The lines represent the three elements of Don Bosco's Preventive System of Education, namely: REASON (principle-driven life), RELIGION (spirituality) and LOVING KINDNESS (connectedness and mutuality). The lines which resemble waves or daluyong in the local language, recall the legendary origin of the community of Mandaluyong. Tradition has it, that the name of the city where the school is located originated from the abundance of the waves or mga daluyong.
The half-gear on the left and the laurel leaves on the right that surround the central design are emblematic respectively of technical and academic education — the twin goals of the school for the development of the Filipino youth.

The College Department commits itself to the goal of forming and educating competent engineers/technicians/skilled workers and at the same time religious and responsible citizens of the community:
- who become fully integrated engineers recognized for their technical skills, and being open to the rapidly changing realities, they continually strive for excellence and commit themselves to the betterment of life
- who become mature Christians who assert Gospel values and manifest the Salesian spirit in their daily life
- who, becoming fully aware of and preparing to assume their role in the Church and in society, keep themselves informed, make enlightened decisions and sound moral judgments, and act with conviction
- who, growing in solidarity with their fellowmen and with the whole of creation, manifest shared social responsibility.

Its classrooms, academic and technical laboratories, library, Technical Shop, Media Center, Auditorium, and other facilities are well maintained and equipped to effect a relevant, updated, interesting instruction.
The program that the High School offers ideally prepares its students for any academic course that they wish to pursue in College. Its Technical Program, however, gives an edge to graduates who wish to pursue engineering or a technical course.
Curriculum
Students undergo development and growth in all the academic courses as prescribed by the Department of Education (DepEd) --- Mathematics, Science, English, Filipino, Social Studies, Christian Living, PE, and Music. At the same time, they are the beneficiaries of a Technical Program. During the first two years, the student is exposed to a general technical education covering measurements, hand tools and light power tools applied to light metal work and simple electrical circuits. For the last two years, he can have a choice of specialization in Electronics, Industrial Drafting, Industrial Electricity, Information Technology, and Mechanical Technology.
- 1st Year - General Technology
- 2nd Year - General Technology
- 3rd Year - Specialization (of either Information Technology/Computer Studies, Mechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, Industrial Electricity, Industrial Drafting & Architectural Arts)
- 4th Year - Specialization (of either Information Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, Industrial Electricity, Drafting & Architectural Arts) - same as 3rd year specialization

The Grade School Department advocates Information Literacy as its approach to the basic curriculum required by the Department of Education in order to initiate kids early on to the competencies need in the Information Age.
The primary grades in Don Bosco Mandaluyong considered the importance of:
- A consistent curriculum in the early years of learning, particularly in language and reading comprehension;
- Quality learning in the early years as achievements and disposition in the higher levels are inevitably traced to it;
- Early character formation through the explicit academic curriculum and the implicit curriculum of the 4 R's: responsibility, respect, resourcefulness, and responsiveness;
- Intervention in a media-mediated world of early childhood, particularly since sex, consumerism, and violence already pervade the world of the very young.
- Intervention early on in family life before youthful aberrations could set in.

The MSTC was established in 1971 primarily to assist the youth of various communities by offering technical training as a means of acquiring manpower skills to upgrade their status.
The training offered by the MSTC to the Out-of-School Youth enables them to acquire and develop skills that would help them become productive and responsible citizens.

[edit] Affiliations and Accreditations
DBTC is a member school of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) South, which consists of schools from the CALABARZON Region (south of Metro Manila) and most central and southern parts of the Metro Manila of the Philippines.
Different from the NCAA Philippines Main, NCAA-South was established by the first members, which were mostly the sister schools of the NCAA-Main schools. The school plays host to the 2007-2008 9th NCAA Philippines-South Season.
National non-athletic affiliations and accrediations include the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU), Commission on Higher Education (Philippines) (CHED), the Don Bosco Educational Apostolate of the Philippines and of course, the Department of Education (Philippines) (DepEd).
International ones are the Istituzioni Universitarie Salesiane (IUS), Salesians of Don Bosco Schools, the Moody International Certification, and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
