Don Barbieri

Don Barbieri (born 18 November 1945), American politician, was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives. He ran as a Democrat in the Fifth Congressional District of Washington. The seat was held by Republican George Nethercutt, who retired for an unsuccessful bid for the United States Senate.
In the 2004 General Election, Barbieri lost to Republican Cathy McMorris, 39.98% to 60.1.%
Before the 2004 election, Barbieri retired from being the CEO and president of WestCoast Hospitality, a Spokane, Washington based company that owns TicketsWest, WestCoast Hotels and Red Lion Hotels. In Spokane, the WestCoast Hotels became Red Lion-branded hotels in 2002[1].
