"Don't Think I Don't Think About It" is the debut single of American singer Darius Rucker, who is also the lead singer and guitarist in American rock band Hootie & the Blowfish. The song was released to country radio in mid-2008 as the lead-off single to Rucker's forthcoming self-titled album, which will be released on Capitol Records Nashville. Rucker's first solo single, it is also his first Top 40 hit on the Hot Country Songs charts; furthermore, it is the first Top 40 country single by a African American artist since Aaron Neville charted at #38 in 1994 with a cover of George Jones' "The Grand Tour".[citation needed]
