[edit] hello

i'd like to know if i'm allowed to get pictures from google images.or do i have to take a picture of what i'm looking for, myself?

Generally speaking, no, taking images from Google Images is not appropriate. More often than not, the images are copyrighted, and we can't use them without a detailed fair use rationale. EVula // talk // // 16:32, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

so i should just take a picture from a camera myself?

Yes, pictures that you've taken yourself are always welcome (provided they are of high quality). I've used my camera to take pictures for use on Wikipedia (such as the picture on John Thomas Griffith). You have to license your pictures in a particular fashion, but we can get into that once you've got some pictures you want to add; no need in overloading you with information at one time. :) EVula // talk // // 17:06, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
