[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Gregorian - The Dark Side.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Gregorian - The Dark Side.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:36, 13 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 14:36, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Masters of Chant V.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Masters of Chant V.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:08, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] deletion procedures

When you propose an article for deletion, as you did for Lawrence A. Weber, it is good practice to notify the author; the "prod" deletion template has a built-in mechanism to compose the usual wording--just follow the instructions you will see on it after you save the page. About 1/3 of the time, the author does improve the page. You're not actually required to, but wouldn't you like someone to warn you in similar circumstances? Nest wishes for continued finding of dubious articles. DGG 20:39, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use disputed for Image:...And It's Deep Too!.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:...And It's Deep Too!.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:16, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tagging for Derbyshire

Just looked and you have tagged a fair number of articles. Well done this is useful. If uou have time then could you put |class=|importance= after the template? Even better to put |class=stub|importance=low ... if you cannot see any particulat importance of evidence of a 3 or 4 paragraph article. Deryshire articles are going to be good! Again well done ... keep it up (with or without my advice) Victuallers 08:53, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

I note you have tagged Derby station for Project Derbyshire. Can I suggest Derby Works, Derby Carriage and Wagon Works, Rolls-Royce plc and North Midland Railway Chevin 20:20, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GA

Well nows the time to be a champion! Sorry to hear it didn't go first time but its a bit being top formula one driver :=) Other news ... I though you may be interested to know that a (small) picture of a Derby School old boy will be on the wikipedia main page in the next 12 hours or so. Alleyne FitzHerbert is the lead DYK. I think I have excelled myself here ..... another Derby story soncerning Charles Paget (conspirator) and my home village of Weston on Trent is in the same bunch,Victuallers 11:29, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

I wasn't expecting it to go through the first time. but it has given me some stuff to do. I suppose i'll be a champion then, If you have any critism, constuctive or not wack it my way. I will keep an eye out for derby on the main page. I'm hoping maybe one day Allestree will be. Obviously not anytime soon. Dommccas

[edit] WP:Derbys talk banner

Hi Dommccas,

Cheers for doing this! It really helps! I've left a longer reply at the project page, and this is pretty much just do say can you write docs for the new temp aswell so we all know what to put where!

Thanks,

Bluegoblin7 18:43, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

No probs. I'm trying to iron out a little hiccup at the mo. It seems not to work perfectly when nested but as i have little idea what i'm dcoing it is a little confusing. i', sure i'll sort it soon enough. I'll work on the docs after that. Dommccas 18:47, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Ok. I know a pretty good template editor (we call him the Template King at another wiki), and hes over here aswell. He created the WP:Trains banner. I'll message him if you havnt sorted it out soon.
Thanks,
Bluegoblin7 18:48, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
All sorted now. I didn't actually change anything but this morning it's working perfectly. Hooray Dommccas 09:06, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
The Working Man's Barnstar
For tirelessly assessing articles for WikiProject Derbyshire, I award Dommccas the Working Man's Barnstar. Well earned --Victuallers (talk) 17:37, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Do add "Wo" in front of "man" if its appropriate. Good work Victuallers (talk) 17:43, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks vey much, my first Barnstar! Thanks for the thought. Good luck on becoming an Admin by the way, you deserve it. Most of the talk pages i've updated were first edited by yourself. Dommccas 17:44, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Just did some fact cheacking and it seems you already are an admin so i must be very behind the times. Well done anyway Dommccas 17:46, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

I am now, thx for your good wishes. Been looking here. You keep adding them and I'll see if I can find some pictures we can use. The liast is useful esp. if any of us go out with a camera on a nice day. 18:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Victuallers (talkcontribs)

[edit] WikiProject Derbyshire

Thanks for the invitation! I have accepted, but as someone who only moved to the area about 5 years ago, I can't contribute much in the way of original material. I do like copy-editing and fact-checking though. Rachel Pearce (talk) 09:25, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Brilliant. It allways good to have more people involved. We could use copy editing help and fact checking is allways useful. If you have any ideas or questions feel free to ask Dommccas 12:48, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
