Is there any concrete evidence that Maria is Dom's wife, and that she died?

I one line of dialogue, Dom tells Baird that he had links to the Stranded because he was looking for someone. It may be more likely that whoever Maria is, they are not dead but Dom is searching for her.

Maria is Dom's wife. In a 2005 interivew Cliff says that the tattoo on Dom's arm is of his wife's name, Maria. The interview was in video, but someone took the liberty of writing it down. It can be read here: [1] AJFederation 08:43, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
