Domonique Simone (born in Valdosta, Georgia[3] on June 18, 1971) is an African-American adult actress.
Simone's father was killed in a car accident before she was born, and her mother was not involved in her upbringing. Simone was raised by her grandmother in a strict and religious Southern Baptist home in Atlanta. Simone went to church twice a week, and was not allowed to leave the house, talk on the telephone, or watch television. She was told that sex was bad, and as a result went wild. Simone was caught at the age of 6 grinding against a girl in a school bathroom, and lost her virginity to a 22 year old man when she was 11.[4][5]
Simone was a good student in high school, graduating with a 3.5 grade point average.[6] At the age of 17, Simone won a scholarship to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, in Los Angeles, where one of her fellow students was Alexis Arquette. At the age of 18, in 1989, she answered an ad for figure modeling and soon found herself shooting for pornographic magazines like Hustler and Players.[3][5]
Simone is noted for being one of the top black starlets in the business, starring in more than 200 movies during the 1990s. She specialized in lesbian scenes.[4] She had large breast implants partway through her career [2] and has been claimed to hold the record for plastic surgery on a black pornographic performer.[7] Simone had a baby in October 1998, but broke up with the father soon afterwards.[8] Her most recent film/video appearances were in My Baby Got Back 21 (2000) and Booty Talk 17 (2000), with Lexington Steele, her last film. She has also appeared in music videos for Snoop Dogg, Brian McKnight ("Keep It On the Down Low"), and Montell Jordan ("Something for the Honeys"). As of 2006, she has retired from making movies, works as a loan officer, and raises her two children.[3][5]
In 2007, Simone was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.[9]
