[edit] Biography

Born in Szczecin, Poland Wolski emigrated to North America at the age of 7. She began acting and writing stories at the same time as a youngster and her work, both on and off screen, reflects a mixture of classical and rebellious influences. Of her choice to be an actress, she says she actually wanted to be a secret agent but the closest profession requiring a similar skill set was acting. She is classically trained but is known as an actress who, "takes risks and brings a refreshing energy", (Jason Bourque, director, Game Over). In her first five years starting out, she has already worked with Jeremiah Chechick (Benny and Joon), Bobby Roth (Prison Break, 2007) and actors that range from Jessica Alba to Dominic Purcell to Bruce Greenwood. She has been interviewed on MTV several times and photographed for Elle magazine, En Route.

Dominika was notably awarded a CBC mini seires out of 1400 applicants nation-wide for a pilot she wrote and starred in. The final series "Under the Cover" would also feature both her talents as a writer and as an actress. The original pilot was shown on Much Music and acquired for distribution by Cineflix. Dominika's other writing accomplishments include a Leo-Award winning music video concept in which she also played a pixie ("Walk the Talk" for Sean Hogan) and an award-winning Bravo Fact for artist Wyckham Porteous: again, Dominika both wrote the concept and played a leading role in the story line.

Dominika's striking model features are often compared to those of a young Uma Thurman and her natural energy is likened to Cameron Diaz: the tall gamine's physique is deceiving to some degree since Dominika was part of a national volleyball recruit camp for the Olympic Games and enjoys a variety of sports.

She plays classical piano and speaks Polish, French and English. Since switching to a serious pursuit of a film career in 2001, Dominika has guest starred on almost every series on the West Coast Vancouver film scene including Under the Cover which she wrote and starred in. Dominika travelled to Mozambique by invitation of director Ed Zwick to visit the set of "Blood Diamond": she was also a guest on the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere in Dec. 2006. Dominika actively supports actors working for social and environmental change: she is a member of Hollywood Hill, drives a VW Beetle and hopes to help promote clean diamonds as an alternative for her fellow actresses for glamorous events. Red carpet photos of her can be found on Wire Image, Getty and Daily Celeb- 2007 looks like a big year for Dominika as she travels between her home of Vancouver and Los Angeles.

June 2007: Dominika's autographed Sonya Dakar sunscreen from Oscar week is part of a celebrity auction for Cancer Cure alongside Madonna and Drew Barrymore. Her European Elle interview has also just come out and you can find her photos from the "Walk for the Underdog" charity for dog and cat shelters as well as the World Premiere of "Evan Almighty" on line.

December 2007: Dominika has just landed the starring role in futuristic sci fi "The Vanquisher". Her character, Miranda May, will capture a mix of Lilu Dallas and La Femme Nikita as she moves from demure infiltration of an embassy to stylized martial arts fight scenes, for which Dominika is undergoing extensive training. Elizabeth Moore (the celebrity designer of Froote eco friendly jewelry) has created a signature necklace for Dominika's character which will be worn throughout the film.

January 2008: Dominika's recurring role in "Jpod" will air this spring and the photoshoot for Spring 2008 Collection for Elizabeth Moore is viweable at wwww.frootejewelry.com . Dominika is the face of the eco friendly jewelry and continues to promote a green glamour in her red carpet appearances.

May 2008: The Vanquisher trailer is to be released in June, Dominika has just finished a role on Roland Joffe's latest film and is in preproduction for an upcoming feature film role.
