Dominic James (born October 5, 1986 in Richmond, Indiana) is an American basketball player. James plays for the Marquette University Golden Eagles men's basketball team. The 5"11 175 pound point guard averaged 14.9 points, 4.9 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game in 2006-2007.

[edit] 2005-2006 season
In 2005-06, James was one of three Marquette players to start every game of the season, while being named Big East Rookie of the Year honors, in addition to numerous other awards. James topped his previous career-high 28 points with a team leading 29 points at DePaul University on January 17, 2006. James notched his first double-double of the season at the University of Louisville on March 1, 2006, with 16 points and a team leading 11 rebounds.

On March 3, 2007, James tallied a career high 10 assists while missing eight minutes due to cramps in the Golden Eagles' victory over 12th ranked Pittsburgh. After the 2007 season, James entered the 2007 NBA Draft but withdrew on 17 June. [1]

James was born in Richmond, Indiana to Angela James and Greg Wright and has two brothers: Germayne, who played college basketball at Lakeland College in Wisconsin, and Donovan as well as two sisters, Alexis and Shantae. His academic major is public relations. He is also the national spokesman for the CHAA-FM in the greater Milwaukee area. Dominic has a tattoo of himself along with the words "God-Given Talent." and a tattoo that says "Size doesn't matter".[citation needed]
