Dominic Foley (born 7 July 1976) is an Irish football player who plays as striker. He grew up in Charleville, County Cork. His current club is K.A.A. Gent from Belgium. Dominic has played at a large number of clubs and is now playing in the Belgian League after having played in England, Portugal and Ireland.

[edit] Controversy

Foley caused controversy in 2005 when, as a Bohemian FC player, he successfully had his contract terminated over the failure of payment by the club of "bonuses". He then immediately signed for Gent, who Bohemian had played only a few weeks previously in the Intertoto Cup, sparking rumours of secret meetings between player and management after the game.
