[edit] North Omaha

Again, I appreciate your offer to take photos of North Omaha. More to consider: Prospect Hill Cemetery, Mister C's, Fort Omaha, and the sites of the Florence Water Works (Omaha, Nebraska) and Fort Lisa as they are today.

You can see what's up next on my NO radar here - feel free to make suggestions there if you are interested.

What I am really feigning for is information on the tunnels in the hillside along Florence Blvd. There are some woods between Sherman Drive and the houses on Florence Blvd, and in them there are old tunnels. Growing up I heard they were either for freed slaves or moonshining in the 1920s. Either way, I can't find anything online! Any insight would be useful.

Thanks for showing your interest. - Freechild 21:04, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

FYI, I've revised the North Omaha template dramatically, and added a number of new North Omaha articles. Let me know what you think, and if you want more/other photo requests. Thanks. - Freechild 20:26, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

I have had a chance to get out to North Omaha and took some pictures of various things. My biggest question is where to upload them to. And I guess my smallest question is how do I upload? North Omaha is looking good. Dolph72 21:09, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

I used some... check out Omaha Star. - Freechild 18:26, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
And some more... North Omaha, Neighborhoods of North Omaha, Nebraska, People from North Omaha, Nebraska and on the Omaha, Nebraska article's gallery. Keep 'em coming. - Freechild 18:38, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
A picture at Technical High School (Omaha, Nebraska) would be great. - Freechild 21:32, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
I live across the street from it. I should be able to get that the next time its sunny. Dolph72 05:29, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Excellent - let me know when that's live, or feel free to place it. Also, I've finished Native Omaha Days and St. John's African Methodist Episcopal Church - again, both yearning for visuals. Thanks Dolph72 - Freechild 17:34, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
Hey, I got your pics up in a gallery at North Omaha, as well as plastering them all over Fort Omaha. I'll get to Prospect Hill Cemetery next. Anymore coming? Let me know where they're at and I'll make sure they get in. Thanks for doing what you have! - Freechild 06:10, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
That is great. My PC broke down so it was a bit harder to get pictures up and running but now that I have a laptop as well I should be able to get out and about and onto things. We are currently undergoing an "unstable weather pattern" so its hard to say when the next good outside photography day will be but I will certainly let you know when its up. Wanted to let you know that in an effort to "contextualize" my focus on North O's landmarks I've created a page to show where all of the city's landmarks are. You will see several new ones from around the community, almost all of which need photos. I appreciate anything you do. Its called Landmarks in Omaha, Nebraska. – Freechild (Hey ya. | edits) 21:14, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
