Dolgoruky is the name of the title character in Fedor Dostoyevsky's novel A Raw Youth, also known as The Adolescent. It has been a long time since user:dolgoruky was chronologically an adolescent, but he tries to keep his ideas young, even as his body decays. He is known by his friends as an inexhaustable and untoppable dispenser of facts. He is interested in many things, though his professional life has been as an academic (English literature, specialty Shakespeare and Renaissance drama.
