Dolphin Senior Public School

Dolphin Senior Public School, commonly called Dolphin, is a middle school located in Streetsville, Ontario, Canada It currently encompasses 517 students between the grades of 6 to 8. The school's mascot is a dolphin and its colours are blue and yellow. The current principal is Dr. Bent, who replaced Percy Willis who will be missed dearly as of January 2006. The vice principal is Mr. Beharry, who is currently on sick leave. The school also runs the ELC, or Enhanced Learning Class, in which gifted students are placed. Recently, the grade 6 ELC was moved to Dolphin. In some cases, two students have to share one locker. Students also have to buy agendas that cost $8.00. The school was recently renovated, and classes have moved to new areas. Dolphin is also home to many winning school teams. These include the basketball, volleyball, and flag football teams, as well as a professional chess club. Dolphin also offers many overnight excursions such as: Mansfield, Québec, and Camp Couchiching. Also the grade 7s and 8s went to France during March Break in the 07/08 school year
