Dolno Sonje

Dolno Sonje is a small village laying south of Skopje, the capitol of Macedonia. Mountain Vodno (1050m) is natural barrier between Skopje and Dolno Sonje area. However there is a road going around and takes only 20 minutes to get there or 15 km from downtown Skopje. The population of Dolno Sonje is approx. 1000 people, 98% ethnic Macedonian. Most of the inhabitants are working in Skopje, so the life in D. Sonje is directly connect with the dynamic of the capitol. In the last 20 years D. Sonje became a frequently visited place for weekends and holidays because of clean air and the beautiful nature which surround this village. Also there are a few medieval churches which hold the attention.
