Dolly Skilbeck (née Acaster) was a fictional character in the popular soap opera Emmerdale, played first by Katharine Barker from 1977-79 and later by Jean Rogers from 1980-91.

Dolly married Matt Skilbeck on June 29, 1978. Their marriage was dogged by Dolly suffering several miscarriages but they finally had a son, Sam, born December 23, 1982.
Dolly and Matt began to grow apart and this resulted in her having an affair with timber consultant, Stephen Fuller. Dolly and Matt separated in 1989 then Dolly left the village in 1991 after having an abortion after an affair with crooked councillor Charlie Aindow.
