Dokkfløyvatn is a lake which lies in the municipalities of Gausdal and Nordre Land in Oppland county, Norway. It has an area of 8.72 km² and 25.61 km around. It lies at an elevation of 735 m above sea level. It is well known for its original seventh letter, which was invented for this county. It resembles an O that was crossed out. They say this is because the founder wanted it to be called Dokkflyvatn, but he accidentally threw in an o, which he crossed out, and that was his only copy of the form, so he had to hand it in, crossed out o and all.
