[edit] License tagging for Image:Dithio2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Dithio2.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Do you need some help?
Why did you create the template {{You created this yourself and release it to the public domain}}? There is no need to create new copyright tags; we already have one for every conceivable purpose. I think the one you want is {{PD-self}}, which appears like this:
I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby release it into the public domain. This applies worldwide. In case this is not legally possible, |
Also, you uploaded Image:Dithio2.jpg in JPEG format, which is totally inappropriate for this kind of image. In general, JPEG should only be used for photographs. Please upload it in SVG, PNG, or GIF format, and make sure it comes from a non-JPEG source so there are no JPEG compression artifacts. —Keenan Pepper 03:25, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Dithiolene.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Dithiolene.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] January 2008
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to J. K. Rowling, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. faithless (speak) 23:23, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Gordon Brown
Before adding the title 'Dr' to Gordon Brown, as you did here, you should have taken note of the following instructions, which are printed at the beginning of the article:
"please do not add the title "Dr" to his name: see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies)#Academic titles."
