According to the principle of be bold, I have started this article from material cluttering up Doctor Who spin-offs. Any organisational ideas for this page most welcome! --TimPope 09:24, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] 1970's figures

I've fixede the more obivous bits, but it needs clean up from an expert on the subject.(84.65.41.254 18:33, 3 April 2007 (UTC)).

[edit] Action figures

I tossed an Expand tag into the Action Figures section. I think it's a great idea, but there needs to be discussion about the Dapol releases and earlier Doctor Who action figures. I'd do it myself but I know very little about them. 23skidoo 23:02, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] More on toys

This article should have more information about general Doctor Who toys, including the Cyberman voice-changer helmet, which has been named Toy of the Year by the Toy Retailers Association.[1] If anyone has a copy of Howe's Transcendental Toybox, I'm sure it has useful information that could be cited in this article.

There's also some redundancy in the "Product Enterprise" and "Character Options" sections, but I don't really know enough about this aspect of merchandising to reorganize the sections. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 22:02, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Abzorbaloff figure rumour

I'm sure I've read somewhere that Peter Kay has denied permission to do an Abzorbaloff figure, can anyone find this (because if it's true the Abzorbaloff figure can be removed from the list of rumoured action figures)? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by A wikipedia member with an awful username (talkcontribs) 17:49, February 6, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Prices in what currency?

I'm thinking that the prices in this article are in U.S. dollars. (Seemed a bit strange to me, since I suspect most of these items were made and marketed in the U.K., but whatever.) If this is US$, perhaps that should be made clear (Australia and Canada use the same symbol for their currency). In addition, I'm wondering if the monetary estimates should be dated, since the value of currency changes over time. Accounting4Taste 17:45, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Doctor Who Boardgame.jpg

Image:Doctor Who Boardgame.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Destiny of the Doctors.jpg

The image Image:Destiny of the Doctors.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.
