Talk:Doctor Who Appreciation Society
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've started an attempt at expanding this article. I have a full run of Celestial Toyroom from the middle of 1980, and a scattering of DWAS publications from before that date, as source material. I also have (but not at present with me) the history the society published in 1996, which I will cite when I have it to hand. Matthew Kilburn 17:36, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
I've made a few more additions taking events as far as 1980. Matthew Kilburn 11:38, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
The last two anonymous edits were by me - the next step will be an account of the ongoing controversy regarding CT's news coverage, the appearance of DWB, and the boom in the society's membership following its 1984 advert in DWM; then the Panopticon 1985 overspend, the debts incurred, the increase in commercial activity without registering with HM Customs and Excise, and the 1988 spending cuts. --Matthew Kilburn 17:20, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- Just wanted to say keep up the good work. I was a member of the society between 1989 and around 2003/4. I have all the issues of CT from the period and could provide some help if you like, but you seem to be doing a sterling job as is. Valiant Son 04:14, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

- Hello - did you add the capitalized references to Mark Sinclair and Gordon Blows? I've been trying to stop the article becoming a list of credits. I've been a member since 1983 and it's a challenge to keep the article POV, as we say around here... --Matthew Kilburn 19:10, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
