[edit] Jackie O's "relatively deep" voice

I'm requesting verification that the creators of Venture Bros. gave Dr. Girlfriend a deep voice because Jaqueline Kennedy herself had a deep voice. I know it's all relative and a matter of opinion, which is part of the problem I have with this. I've heard Jackie's voice numerous times in various places (the one that most readily comes to mind is a short film of her giving a tour of the Whitehouse) and it's never struck me as particularly or relatively deep. But maybe that's just me. If the creators of the show have ever commented on this, in the DVD commentary or in Film Threat (is that still around?) or whatever, then that will be that. If not, it strikes me as non-NPOV. Druff 17:26, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Number 2

Is she still a #2? She seems to have struck out on her own. Bdve 03:23, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Actually this page needs up dating, I think that thanks to Dr. Killinger and #21, she is once again The monarch's girlfriend and #2

[edit] Marriage

At the end of Showdown part II, Dr. Girlfriend stated that she never technically said I do, and had something to say that could have changed it. So is she married, or is she technically still not married? -th1rt3en 18:03, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

I'd have said she's married since they're on a honeymoon et al. That's the whole point of a wedding, to get married. ;P So by the next season I'd say so.
Sincere apologies for the spoiler though...-Umbric Man 11:41 P.M. Oct 14th 2006

[edit] Cliffhanger

This is just a theory, but I think what Dr. Girlfriend (Sheila!) was going to say was not that she's a transexual or something (They've repeatedly denied it throughout the series), but that she's PREGNANT; but who's the father? Phantom Limb or the Monarch? Both were having sex with her during ths same time period. What makes me suspect this is from the teaser to SACC part 1, when the Monarch commented on how he thought she'd gained weight. While I'm on the subject...WHY was Dean hallucinating throughout this episode?

I thought the same thing. And I believe they made Dean halucinate because they needed a way to put Billy Quizboy, Pete White, and Triana in the episode. Just a guess though. -th1rt3en 03:01, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
I mean I assumed at the end they'd say "oh, there's a gas leak" or something. The only "explanation" they gave was that even the Monarch's other henchmen (that one in the command room) refuse to go in the Engine Room because it's "creepy and haunted" down there; seems to be details that will not be revealed until season 3.---->And Dean hates being a child adventurer and wants to be a real boy, eh? Frankly, I think the best cliffhanger (for season 3 now I guess) would have been for Triana to get fed up with her father's constant mind blanking and such (see "Escape to the House of the Mummies" for this tension) and Dean basically getting PO'd at the whole adventuring life, and running off together...something ending along the lines of a bomb is about to go off so they think they're about to die, so the two have sex and then whatever villain's bomb DOESN"T go off, forcing them to face the reprocussions in the next season. Frankly, this season finale was a bit of a let down; it wasn't as good as the season 1 ending (what could be?) but....I wasn't expecting a prolonged David Bowie joke!
The evidence leans more to Dr. Girlfriend being pregnant. First off, Dr. Girlfriend, The Monarch, and Phantom Limb all maintain that she is not transsexual and they should know. Secondly, the pregnancy is foreshadowed in beginning of Showdown at Cremation Creek (Pt. 1) when the Monarch notices that Dr. Girlfriend breast are bigger and asks her if Phantom Limb left a bun in the oven. Lastly, it would explain why she would suddenly want to marry the Monarch and make him abandon his grudge against the Ventures. If this theory is true, it would squash all the transsexual rumors about her and leave only the question of "Who is the father?". Is it The Monarch or Phantom Limb? (Duane543 18:01, 16 October 2006 (UTC))

speaking of which: in the "relationship with the Monarch" section, it says that it was "unclear" if she had sex with Venture; I actually remember that A) She flat out denied she had sex with him when the Monarch asked B) you actually SEE her inject him with the serum, knocking him out, and then she leaves.

I recall the same thing. She didn't do anything with him he was knocked out. Shouldn't we change the main text then? --Xiahou 03:20, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

And yet she still stays with him for the entire night and only leaves in the morning. He was knocked out for a while, but he did eventually regain consciousness, and no one can say what happened for sure between them.
I agree with this; there are several times when Dr. Girlfriend has lied to her lovers-the scene where the Monarch acuses her "of having sex with him", She says"not that" first before denying having slept with him.And she does spend the whole night with him before escaping in the Cocoon-which makes me wonder where her car was left? And why does Brock do nothing about it when he states "Monarchs here" as Rusty goes back upstairs with his "two" cups of coffee? Perhaps because he doesn't consider himself to be a valid bodygaurd? That aside,I have to say that Doc Hammer and Mr. Muculloch have done a superb job with this character-just look at all the speculation that we adults have spent on a fictional cartoon woman-man-whatever. I still think it is Dr. Venture's child because (assuming they did have sex) a: Doc didn't have any condoms and b: incredible plot twist!

On a side note, in the Season 3 spoiler, Dr. Girlfriend seems to jump from a rather high place, which could obviously damage a baby. She may be bloated from her menstrual cycle, although she denied this...Rangikusboy (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 04:58, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Dr. Girlfriend's voice

The article mentions that some people feel Dr. Girlfriend's voice resembles that of Tony Curtis. I have always believed that her character was influenced by Tony Curtis' cross-dressing role as "Josephine" in the 1959 Billy Wilder movie, Some Like It Hot. Have the show's creators ever discussed this possibility? -- Dsteen (talk) 06:25, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rumors...

I took out a block of uncited fan speculation about possible pregnancy (last paragraph).

Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts. Noclevername (talk) 01:00, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
