Dobřichovice is a town laying on both banks of the river Berounka, about 25 km south-west from the centre of the czech capital Prague. Dobřichovice is situated on the half way between Prague and Karlštejn Castle, one of the most famous castle in the Czech Republic. Dobřichovice has about 3000 permanent inhabitants and several hundred people from Prague come on weekends to second homes in the town.
Railway Line Prague - Beroun - Pilsen - Nuremberg, is situated on the right bank of the Berounka river.
In August 2002 Dobřichovice was flood by the river Berounka and more than 200 houses in Dobřichovice were severely hit up to ground floor.
Dobřichovice was proclaimed a town by the Czech parliament in 2006.
