[edit] Needs expanding
Hmm, it seems a little strange that this article is so short, and yet there is a very comprehensive article on the plagiarism controversy surrounding the song at 2007 Timbaland plagiarism controversy. Maybe there should be a summary of that article in this one? Extraordinary Machine 22:34, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- There doesn't seem to be much more to say about this song itself, as its notability is based on the controversy. The 2007 Timbaland plagiarism controversy talks about both this song and the ringtone, and while the summary can be a bit longer, extensive duplicate content should be avoided. Has airplay (if it is played on radio, I wouldn't know) of this song been affected? Any critical reviews of the song? Pomte 23:25, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Graffiti
In God's Hands was just announced. Of course, Do It is uncomfirmed. Because neither Nelly nor her label has been quoted as saying this. This is graffiti, albeit, benevolent. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Insaneace1 (talk • contribs) 11:57, 27 March 2007 (UTC).
I agree. Jonwood2 20:10, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Next Single?
Is this song going to be the next single for her album? Yellowstone County Girl 03:40, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
I'd love to know this too, it's my favourite song on the album but I can't find any sources that back the statements here up? I hope it's true though! Martyy1 11:59, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
It has begun getting radio airplay. 211.30.60.106 08:48, 7 July 2007 (UTC) ... and it was announced officially. allacess.com. 211.30.60.106 10:27, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Missy Elliot
Apparently Missy Elliot remixed it, and it has been leaked? 211.30.60.106 05:11, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unneeded section headers
Wikipedia:Guide_to_layout#Headers_and_paragraphs recommends (for good reason) against short sections, which is particularly relevant to this article, in which the paragraphs about the music video and plagiarism allegations controversy are not large enough for their own sections. Even if this wasn't the case, note that only first words and proper nouns should be capitalised in section headers; thus, "Music video", not "Music Video". [edit] Cover
WEll, I saw this cover, and it think its a foney because I saw it on this other website and it made by this guy thats a fan of Nelly Furtado. So I'm not sure if thats the cover? Explode24 (UTC)
I saw it too & it's definitely not the real cover. 211.30.60.106 10:21, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Yeah I agree, maybe we should delete it? You decide yes or no?
Explode24 21:32, 1 August 2007 (UTC) (Australian Time)
[edit] Cover again
The cover at the moment is this a fan-made cover or is this cover on the official cover because it looks fan made. Explode24 15:26, 17 September 2007 (UTC)(Australian time)
[edit] Cover
People, stop putting fake covers. I am deleting it.Explode24 18:00, 8 August 2007 (UTC) (Australian time)
Maybe you should stop deleting the REAL cover then. Martyy1 10:09, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
And how do you know that this is the real cover? Wheres your sorce saying that it is the final and proper cover for "Do It"? Explode24 20:49, 8 August 2007 (UTC) (Australian time)
Try clicking on the image and following the source that is provided. Martyy1 13:54, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Already did, but it doesn't mention that its the real cover. It just advertising the song on her website. Its not the official cover. .Explode24 16:05, 9 August 2007 (UTC) (Australian time)
It's still a form of identifying the song, and the official iTunes USA cover, so it should be left. As it has only been slated as a digital download in the USA and Canada at the moment, this is currently the official cover. Martyy1 06:52, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Nelly+do+it.jpg
Image:Nelly+do+it.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
