DNA unwinding element

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A DNA unwinding element (DUE) it is an enzyme complex found during DNA synthesis at the origin of replication and is the initiation site for the opening of the double helix structure. It is A/T rich and denatures easily due to lower helical stability, allowing the single-strand region to be recognized by ORC (Origin Recognition Complex).
