[edit] Propaganda

This is a propaganda site. You read a lot about Jewish religion and nothing about boxing . There is a reason for it. The kid has near-zero talent. So let's talk about something else. German.Knowitall 20:55, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

If you will read articles about him and will note his nickname "Star of David" - you will see that Jewish religion has large influence over him. So it's natural that it will be reflected in article about him. If you wish to add something to article - go and do it. But consider deleting as last resort. --TAG 00:48, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

I feel like throwing up when I read propaganda articles like this. I do NOT , if anyone should get this idea, have a problem with

  • a: his being religious
  • b: his marketing himself heavily this way
  • c: that this is mentioned in Wikipedia. No problem!

What I cannot stand, however, is when people both in the media and here talk about religion INSTEAD of achievents in the ring. The last thing of note there was when he won the New York Golden Gloves (not the national Golden Gloves). In the professional rings he has done absolutely nothing.German.Knowitall 15:29, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Achievements of Salita

Salita has been a pro for almost six years. He has done (in the ring!) next to nothing. THIS #48 is his highest rating in any independent ranking. After six years and 27 wins. This is nothing short of ridiculous. Now, I'm willing to acknowledge he is doing a tremendous job at marketing himself and getting praise from ESPN!! Wow. But he has zero success in the ring. He probably has THE worst chin in boxing pound for pound (knockdowns listed by boxrec).THIS is an article about the Montano fight German.Knowitall 19:02, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Please provide source for your edit on Dmitry Salita. Your statements about "can't punch " and "no chin" are original research. As well - please clarify why you have removed others parts of article. Even more - are you going to add to every Don King reference that he has killed two men and served 4 years in prison ? --TAG 00:41, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

1.Chin: see record. 2.Can't punch : average KO-ratio versus EXTREMELY weak competition. Thus his low standing in the ratings #53 in the IWBR ratings. He isn't Top 40 in ANY independent ratings and I challenge anyone to give me one example.

BTW if you think I'm antisemitic, that's not true, I respect Barney Ross and Benny Leonard, they were real fighters. Salita is a typical fraud.German.Knowitall 15:13, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

It's not allowed to make own conclusions out of facts. Please read Wikipedia:Attribution#Unpublished_synthesis_of_published_material. You expect every person will be WBC/WBO world champion. This is impossible - there are is no room for 100's of boxers. Your respect has nothing to do with Wikipedia - either state facts - or don't edit. Your personal opinion while valuable and I respect you for it - is not important here at all. Please provide sources per WP:V#Burden_of_evidence who share your opinion on "can't punch" and "no chin" - or I will revert your edit in 2 days. Thanks in advance. --TAG 17:44, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

You're not paying attention. It's not about my theories about his chin but about being knocked down by guys with ZERO or ONE Kos. He doesn't have to be champion. But if he wants ink, he has to fight half-decent opponents, not Peter McNeely opposition.German.Knowitall 18:54, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A problem

Well, I reverted this edit and started looking at the source in question. A fair amount of the stuff that I reverted uses source number 4, but it's just copied verbatim. That's a potential copyright violation. If it is to be included, it should be reworded, and sourced using the proper reference tags. --Deskana (talk) 21:06, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

All of the RV'd material is in one (or usually more than one) of the sources reflected in the links. I've brought some of those references up into the text in the form of footnotes, given that much of it was quoted material. --Epeefleche 21:34, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

To German.Knowitall:

What is exactly your point? It sounds like you are jealos of Jews who are proud of one of their own making good. So what if he is overrated? He would not be the first one. People are proud of him, he has won some fights, and they are proud that he shares some of their religious beliefs. Where is the harm? Don't hate, participate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by WestCoastBlues (talk • contribs) 04:01, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
