- Someone reported a mistake on the Chase Parker site, so I've fixed it. Also, I've added categories to all the new guides and external links. Dmarex 13:46, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New character infoboxes to soap opera characters
Dmarex, I really prefer the previous character infobox boxes instead of the ones you changed them to. And I don't feel that the women should have a different infobox color than the men. I like how you formatted the other stuff about the new infoboxes you've been adding, however. The color, though, I feel we should do without and I will strip the new infoboxes of the All My Children characters of their color. I also don't like the heading at the top called All My Children character, one reason being is that I see it as redundant. But, anyway, as I said before, the other formatting within them, I like. I'll see you around. Flyer22 11:39, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
RE: OK, no problem. I just tried to change it a bit. I don't mind. You can change it if you want it. Dmarex 18:12, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
-
- I know that you were trying to liven things up a bit there. And as I stated before, I liked/like some of the edits, such as to the Greenlee Smythe character infobox, though I changed two things about that back. Anyway, I'll see you later. Flyer22 04:32, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ally McBeal
The image I deleted from the article on Sep. 19 was a TIME magazine cover related to feminism and Ally McBeal. The TIME cover was not significant enough to the article to meet the criteria of WP:NFCC#8. Hope that helps. -Nv8200p talk 22:12, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] your help
could you help me out with the ABC Daytime & CBS Daytime pages? Many writers/producers' pages need to be created. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.230.108.244 (talk) 08:06, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
OK, I'll try to help as much as I can. Those sites look overstuffed and need an overhaul. Dmarex 11:17, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, Dmarex, you read my thoughts concerning this matter about the question you asked me on where to place the ABC Daytime ratings, right?
- And on another note, do you feel that you can help us soap opera participants out with applying the new soap opera character infobox and removing the Family and relationships lists from the bottom of these soap opera character articles. If you didn't notice, more on this topic is discussed on my talk page, as well as on the talk page of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Soap Operas, for more information on this. Flyer22 06:47, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
-
- OK, I can help you with that. On the other hand, I'm not that excited about those soap infoboxes. The color is weird (OK, we can change that), the infobox seems to be too small... but I'll be okay with it soon. Also, I think I'm going to drop the "series" thing (for the Sunset Beach guide, because it used to be small, but now it's too big. Dmarex 07:00, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

-
- Okay, thank you for the help. And, ha, I had a problem with the series title when it was smaller and at the top of the soap opera character infobox (my actual problem with it) when added, as you know from my post a little above this section on your talk page.
-
-
-
- And what color about this new infobox do you find weird, you mean the grey? I assume that you mean the grey (its default color) because you noted that we can change that. More specifically, what do you feel about the All My Children characters having the red infobox that they have? Do you feel that it's weird? I used (am using) red for those characters because the All My Children opening sequence closes with that red-looking book, and because our All My Children template is red. So I changed the infobox to the matching red for the All My Children characters, though I still have to apply these infoboxes and that color to some more All My Children characters at this moment. It is a little bit of a turnaround for me, how now I don't mind color being applied to these characters, but it likely has to do with the color itself, seeing as I love the color red and feel that either it, grey, or black would be the best colors for infoboxes concerning the AMC characters, or in using color for character infoboxes in general. - Good idea. I agree about the colors and the grey color is fine with me... it's the red that's bothering me. It hurts my eyes. And the title in the infobox isn't easy to see. The red is fine, but it has to be lightened a bit. Isn't it a bit strong for you too? Plus, I like the idea of putting all info (family, relationships and more) into the infobox and delete it at the bottom of the page. It looks better.Dmarex 08:36, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I was thinking that the red needs to be lightened a bit too, and mainly because of how the titles, whether a character's name or the show that the character is from, doesn't show up as well in the red that it is now. However, I don't know what red to adjust it to automatically, of course. Perhaps you can pick out a better red for the All My Children character infoboxes, as well as its template, not that you know which red to automatically jump to either, but I felt that maybe you'd like to pick it out. Just make sure that it is not pink, LOL. Flyer22 10:41, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 64.230.106.240
- I don't know who posted his credits on my talk page because there wasn't a signature, but I've put the info into a new article. Thanks. Dmarex 06:36, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- That same person did that to my talk page as well. Flyer22 06:57, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- I really hate it when it happens. How are we suppose to know who did it? Eh, anyway, at least now Neil Landau has a separate article. Plus, I've found the same credits posted on The Young and the Restless main page, along with Shelley Meals. Dmarex 07:01, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- I usually check the edit history of my talk page to find out who it was...if I don't see who it was by looking at my watchlist, in that that user was the latest to post on my talk page while I was surfing Wikipedia. Flyer22 07:37, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Please stop adding credits to my talk page without even talking to me about it. Why suddenly? Dmarex 07:10, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- The reason as to why I post proposed articles on your TalkPage is b/c I want you to help me out by creating these pages when you get the chance to. If it's okay, may I continue to post proposed pages on this page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.230.106.240 (talk) 07:15, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll do it in time. You can post it here.
Plus, I've seen that you've been adding the lists to different sites (for example, Danielle Faraldo has a GH Directors list. Could you please not submit those? They don't improve the quality of the site, and one one of the mentioned people quits (or is fired), you'll have to go through ALL of those sites again and delete it.Dmarex 07:27, 24 October 2007 (UTC) - I figured that's why our talk pages were hit with these credits. It happened before to my talk page with a bunch of red links (at this moment, it's still up there, the first post at this moment) and I'm wondering if this person who did that then is the same person who just did that to my talk page this time. I'm not angry about this, of course. Flyer22 07:37, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I'll have to remove all of your credits. I haven't started creating the pages yet, but it's visible it's all copied from other web pages, which is copyright material and isn't permitted. Dmarex 07:55, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- RE: No, I'm not creating the pages of the people I like. I don't even know these people. I've only done notable people that currently work on daytime. And sorry, but I don't have that much time to create those pages and especially the ones with copied info. And also, I must say I'm trying to avoid creating articles for new people at Y&R. It's a personal choice. The new crew team at Y&R is the worst one I have ever seen (and the reason why I haven't seen the show for the previous 9 months. Dmarex 08:32, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gary Tomlin
Tomlin is Head Writer of OLTL in New York, and Passions tapes in Los Angeles; he is not doing both, and by now any episodes he directed in the past have aired (his OLTL episodes are already airing). If you need confirmation, call the Passions production office at 818.655.5454 and ask them. — TAnthonyTalk 00:17, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Proposed deletion of Sunset Beach pages
Hi, can I suggest a few points?
- I took the proposed deletion off some pages you had PRODded, because there were incoming links. Redirects are cheap, and it is fine to leave them long-term. In fact, it may be better to use redirects for links rather than to link directly into lists, because if the lists get renamed, then only the incoming redirects need to be updated rather than all the linked articles. (I hope I explained that clearly...)
- If you have merged content into another page, especially if other editors contributed as well, please add {{R from merge}} to the redirect page, e.g. Emily Davis (TV character).
- Note that you can link a redirect to a particular section, just adding # between the page name and the section name.
- If there were categories that applied only to the character and not to the merged list, e.g. (say) Category:Fictional lawyers, then you can leave them on the redirect page.
- You marked Melinda Fall for deletion, but the Fair Use justification for Image:Melindafall1998.jpg referred only to that page. I updated it for you to List of Sunset Beach recurring characters. This is important, as the image would otherwise be deleted in due course.
Hope this helps! - Fayenatic (talk) 13:17, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
-
- I wanted to delete those sites only because I was afraid someone from Wikipedia might consider it stupid to have 20 redirect pages. I created the site and I was the only one who contributed to the content, so I hoped it would be deleted. But, of it's okay to have redirects then I can redirect everything that was merged. Thanks. [edit] Notability of Daniel S. Griffin
A tag has been placed on Daniel S. Griffin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Damiens.rf 22:50, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
