[edit] About me
I specialise in K12 / Secondary education and have a particular interest in new media and emerging technology. I think that ICT in English schools over-emphasises "office" applications at the expense of some much more exciting stuff. I think that Linux and Apple are doing much for popularising new technology, especially as the former makes ICT cheaper for the rest of us and the latter has developed iLife'06 which makes blogging and podcasting easier.
Although new(ish) to Wikipedia, trying to get lots of others involved at some level. I particularly like the fact that we are all contributing to our own views of the world on wikipedia - everyones opinion is valid even if nonsense does get moderated out.
[edit] Wikis I have contributed to:
Skelmersdale - a 1960s new town in Lancashire
George Lyons - local highwayman
Fred Thelonious Baker - jazz bassist
