John Fennyhouse Green and Stourport
Hi - thanks for your message. My contribution 'John Fennyhouse Green and Stourport' has been marked up as needing to be: "...to be wikified to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. Please help improve this article, especially its section layout, and relevant internal links. (help) This article has been tagged since April 2007." I'm not sure what I need to do. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks, David --DAVID PATTEN 14:48, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Why did you revert my edits to the Captain Underpants article? Most of what I changed was just fixing simple grammatical errors and redundancies.
No problem.
African American
How are my edits vandalism?!?
the article "Hip Hop music" mentions African Americans. Similarly, sagging and fried chicken should also mention African Americans because they are representative of African American culture. 71.132.143.134 04:17, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your note. Not so sure of that. Looks like racial stereotyping to me. Or just out right racism, maybe? Where is your documentation on these claims? Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 11:33, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
its not racism, its information. what is racist about saying black people sag? its the truth.

If you're not sure, then why don't you leave it alone and let it evolve? I actual work, have a job, can't be on wiki 24/7 like some people. What is your knowledge and qualifications (besides misspelling "notability") of the county in which I reside? Critics do nothing useful in society, build nothing, accomplish nothing, and annoy everyone. Take a chill and relax for a few days. Article - Sentinel Management Group
Hi Dlohcierekim - regarding the speedy deletion of article Sentinel Management Group, I'm not sure what exactly I'm supposed to do to make my case. I've read what I could find regarding how I'm supposed to deal with the issue, but I'm not sure what happens next. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks Cartwarmark 01:31, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Sentinel Management Group is not to be deleted. Sorry for the confusion. The Speedy deletion was declined by the reviewing admin. He points out in his edit summary, as you do on the talk page that the article is well documented. I apologise for what was an error in tagging the article for speedy deletion and the trouble it has caused you. The article is not to be deleted. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 01:38, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank You and how can ...
First, I would like to say thank you.
I have reviewed the August 13, 2007 24.60.123.37 edits and your subsequent reversal of them for the Todd Gross entry. That this material would even be entered into a Wiki is very disturbing. In researching it further outside of Wiki, that it appears to have been made by someone known to Todd is even more unsettling.
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Todd_Gross&action=history
What I would like to ask is, since so many people read the Wiki and visit ToddGross.com from it, and since Todd is still well known and popular as an on-air met, would it be possible to have this entire article "purged" and re-started from the current clean text ? The intent here is that by purging this entry, the history file will drop from public viewing. Having read the entries made by this person you can probably see the concern with having even the history available for viewing.
If this is something that I can do, please let me know how and I will take the necessary steps. If this is something that you, as an editor, can request and 'make happen', then that would most sincerely be appreciated.
Thank you again, TGWCII 14:50, 21 August 2007 (UTC) TGWCII

Maiden Attempt
Hi, Greetings. Thanks for offering to help. This article I am writing, on Nongmaithem Pahari, is my first, so to say the first article I initiated, as you might have noted. I have checked the Wikipedia: Notability and the subject of my article Nongmaithem Pahari qualifies as a notable person in more ways than one. I have myself removed the advertising tag, partly because I didn't want my article to be deleted and more so because I have removed those sentences that sounded like advertising copy.
As a novice, and as an admirer of the greatness Wikipedia is, I struggle with a lot of things while creating articles or editing. But then I am learning about new things here, whenever I find time.
I would be delighted if I am told how to correctly include references to make the articles more authentic. I tried doing it by reading the guidelines, but it didn't help much. And how do you give reference to such a book that doesn't have an ISBN.
Thanks.

RE:Afd/C TNO speedy keep
Actually, that AfD should be closed per WP:SNOW and WP:UCS. Sorry about the mistake; there's so many ways to ignore the rules, I tend to get confused every once in a while :-) Happy editing! --Boricuaeddie 00:54, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- No. WP:SNOW states: "If an issue doesn't even have a snowball's chance in hell of getting an unexpected outcome from a certain process, then there is no need to run it through that process." An example of this is this AfD. All of those who participated in the discussion have valid rationales to keep the article. All of those who participated are in agreement that there is no need to continue the discussion, as there will probably not be consensus to delete the article anytime soon. Therefore, the AfD may be closed at any time without having to let it run for the standard 5 days. --Boricuaeddie 01:33, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Need your advice
Hi Dlohcierekim,
I had posted an article on my company, Acuvate, which was marked for "Speedy Deletion" by you. I agree with the reason that you have given in its "Deletion Log".
The article started out as an article describing the meaning of the name of my company, but to my luck, it was categorized as "Neologism". So to save the article I re-wrote it but not completely and hence it was "Speedily Deleted".
The article that I want to write is about my company Acuvate. I have seen many such articles existing on Wikipedia. One example is Exilant(The article is pathetic, but it is not deleted!).
How can I write an article about my company and not get it deleted? I would really appreciate any help. Thank you.

Thanks for the welcome
Hello, Thanks for the welcome. I actually can use your help. An anonymous user is maliciously vandalizing articles on wikipedia by removing information and changing key statistics (user:66.176.219.186 [1])For example he added the following info to the Cuba article: "According to the CIA World Factbook, Cuba is 65.05% white,24.86% Mulatto, 10.08% black, and 1% Chinese." He deliberately added that incorrect information even after I notified him that it was incorrect. See link:[2]
This user has previously been blocked for vandalism and seems to have continued where he left of as soon as his suspension was over. I have attempted to revert some of his changes but I was unable to do so because of intermediate changes. I was hoping you could help revert his changes and block his editing privileges. RFA Tony the tiger 3
He has a link in his signature to this page, where he expresses confusion about what arbitrary title to give himself. My point is that he should focus on being an editor rather than... That stuff. He also says that other people use those titles. I say if he knows people who give themselves meaningless leadership titles in Wikiprojects, they shouldn't be doing that. But I don't know of anyone who gives themselves such ludicrous titles either. Grandmasterka 22:03, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. The whole concept troubles me. JayHenry claims that Military History and Featured Article have directors, but I feel this is contrary to the spirit of Wikipedia. He seems recognised as the director by his supporters, but how does one convey directorship? Does one become director for life? Are there term limits. What happens if a director no longer seems to be doing a good job? Do they hold elections? This starts to sound reminiscient of Karmafist. To add to this an adminship and it almost sounds like a coronation. "Got my second assist at WP:AIV." I just don't like the way that sounds. To me it sounds like glory seeking or ego inflation. Add to that the pushiness and I just could not feel comfortable supporting his adminship. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 22:49, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

- I can understand Featured Article Director, because Raul654 actually makes decisions we consider to be binding, and I'd like that particular process to be fairly stable, because it has a lot to do directly with the quality of the encyclopedia, and our public image. (Wonder how it'll work when he leaves.) Any other "director", "overseer", whatever... Eh, not so much. And I agree with everything else you said. Grandmasterka 05:32, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- Raul654 was selected by a consensus !vote. At Military History, they hold semiannual elections. Tony claims to be self appointed. I would feel better about his Directorship if he underwent a similar process. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 14:45, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

nonsense
You contacted me to ask that I not add nonsense to the 'Johann Hari' page that I edited slightly yesterday. I stumbled upon that page yesterday from a different link and could not believe the vacuity of its content. Though the first alteration I made was not entirely serious, the second one definitely was and links to an online article written to criticise Hari.
I then saw that 'talk' section devoted to that page and found that several attempts to rectify the lack of any critical voice were stifled by the neutrality principle, which seems reasonable at first glance - individuals should not be allowed to alter pages in a way that reflects their unsubstantiated personal opinions. But it seems that the neutrality principle has one clear flaw and that is that it allows things to be put in such a way as to lend credence to everything that a person (in this case Hari) has done/said. So, along with the various jobs Hari has held and awards he has won, there is an abundance of weirdly inane statements about Hari's views on the enlightenment and religion and other themes that he is in no way an authority on. And the entire article simply reads as a list of Hari's views on various subjects without any notion as to why they are of interest.
In the one section in which his views are challenged in any way (a largely irrelevant debate with fellow hack Nick Cohen), I sought to link to an article that offers a critique of Hari. This article, written by Francis Sedgemore, is of course subjective opinion, but this was made clear in the alteration and it is hard to see such a link as illegitimate given the entire article is comprised of Hari's subjective opinions.
I think there is a real danger that Wikipedia is being hijacked by self-promoting journalists like Hari and there should be some way to limit this either by acknowledging the views of their critics or by reigning in there unjustifiably long-winded self-important (and presumably self-authored) entries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.25.186.206 (talk) 11:56, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry for being less clear than would be helpful. My nonsense request was based on This edit to Raymond Domenech not your edits to Johann Hari.
-
- I went ahead and looked at your Johann Hari edits. A couple of your of your edits seem questionable. *Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a rumor mill.
- This looks like character assassination. The provided link does not substatiate the claim about editing his own article.
- The source does not look like a verifable source. It looks like a blog or scandal sheet. I suspect you are the one harboring POV issues. I did not remove your edits, but as a neutral observer, I think you need to review Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons#Remove_unsourced_or_poorly_sourced_contentious_material.I would not write stuff like that. But it's up to you and the other articles to seek consensus on the talk page. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 13:01, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
new articles
Thank you for creating new articles for members of congress. I've been adding names to Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/American politicians/Representatives to keep track of which ones need to be done yet. I'll mark them as done once they're created, but I don't want to delete them until others have had a chance to see that they've been done to get rid of any red links that might be out there. Feel free to use this list to see what needs to be created. Thanks--Appraiser 14:32, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- Your are welcome. It's a pleasure. I'll check the missing list too. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 19:04, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
What edit did I do and how was it vandalism?
I don't remember even editing a Wikipedia article lately, and if I did I wouldn't intentionally vandalize it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.249.145.10 (talk) 22:54, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- I am sorry. I've no idea how I put that on your talk page. I've removed it lest it give others the wrong impression of your edits. There was a pair of perfectly legitimate edits by your IP at about that time. If you have a shared IP, you may see warnings meant for others. Again, I apologize for placing that on your page. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 23:22, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Ditto here
I don't really make edits, but I don't want to be banned from wikipedia either, somehow my IP was warned and I'm just looking to not get blocked because someone else did something. I got one of the messages that I vandalized a page, but I have not, anyways... just looking to clear things up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.34.167.221 (talk) 03:50, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

- Hmm that's weird. I don't know. There must be something going on with the program I use to check edits. Putting them on the wrong user or something. Removed warning. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 04:04, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
